Pinion has been managing the testing environment and software for number of banks since 2005. Pinion is responsible for taking software from multiple suppliers, checking that it conforms to coding standards, and controlling its migration through the various testing environment using Changeman.

Pinion is responsible for managing 5 different testing environments, running tests on demand, providing fixes to ensure that the tests are completed to strict SLA’s. Pinion has been responsible for suggesting changes to the way that Changeman is configured and run which have dramatically reduced the resource usage and elapsed time for compiling code. These changes have been adopted as a standard by the customer for all its subsidiaries.

Pinion has created a number of tools to support the creation of test environments and test data. Tools to support the building of new test environments from existing environments include the specification of selection criteria, the extraction of all the records associated with accounts that satisfy the criteria, the depersonalisation of sensitive customer information, and the loading of the data into the new environment.
